About Us

‘2010 was a landmark year for Bournemouth based audio visual equipment rental and production company, Modus Visual Communications, who not only celebrated their 20th anniversary but perhaps more significantly, were once again appointed the Official a/v contactors to The Carole Nash Motorcycle Live Event, the re-branded and re- launched International Motorcycle Show held at the NEC; 2010 being Modus’ 20th consecutive Bike Show.’

Although established in 1991, it’s only in recent years, following further investment in conference equipment, that our client base has grown significantly to include exhibition and conference organisers from a much wider field  including The NHS, The Motorcycle Industry, The Marine Industry, The Aviation Industry, Association and Society Conferences, Insurance and Finance Sector, Education, Borough and District Councils, Motor Retailers and Charity based organisations.

Our services now include everything from a simple flipchart, data and video projectors, plasma screens and floor stands with DVD players or laptops, PA systems with radio microphone and speakers to a full blown design and build project incorporating all of the above and more with full project management and on-site services for the duration of your event.

Over the last 20 years we have established ourselves as probably the largest audio visual equipment supplier to the motorcycle exhibition industry, now servicing the organisers and many of the exhibitors at both the NEC International Event and The London Motorcycle Show, The International Dirt Bike Show (Our 11th year), The Isle of Man TT Festival, Riders for Health at The Day of Champions held during The British Motorcycle Grand Prix plus other smaller regional shows. In addition to Exhibitions, Modus have been involved with the conference aspect of the industry, having recently been involved with the launch of the ‘Get On’ campaign which together with Press Days, product launches and permanent installations in dealer showrooms covers most applications where a/v equipment is used.

We also specialise in discounted large screen displays, including LED, both for indoor and outdoor events for event organisers and end users, MODUS cover the whole of the U.K. and E.U.

Although most of our clients need equipment delivered and installed together with technical support for their event we do have a ‘dry hire’ department which offers an equipment rental only service, either collected from our warehouse or delivered to the client’s premises.
Whatever your audio visual equipment and presentation requirements may be, according to our most long standing clients, 60% of whom have been with us for 10 years or more, our service is always boringly consistent – PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, ON TIME and ON BUDGET.

In addition to our rental activities we can supply and install audio visual equipment for any permanent installations – in particular schools and Places of Worship.
